Life After High School

Each student should have a plan for what they want to do after high school. Doing nothing is not an option! This page will serve as a source for information on a multitude of universities, community and technical colleges, and other training programs. If you need information you are unable to find on the website please visit my office.

University Websites

This list of schools and websites includes public and private colleges and universities, as well as proprietary schools (business schools, beauty schools etc) and community and technical colleges. Virtually everything you need to know about a school (how to apply, costs, degrees offered etc.) can be found on a school's website. Many schools now require that applications be completed on the website. If you have questions about any of these sites, need help navigating them, or need information about a school not listed here I am happy to help in the guidance office.

Career Information

There are some wonderful websites dedicated to career research, and I will add any new sites I find to this section. From these sites you can find out what activities are involved in a job, information on salaries, what kind of training you need for the job etc. The more you know about careers, education and yourself the easier it will be to find a career that you enjoy and in which you are successful.

The Occupational Outlook Handbook

www.bls.gov

This website is maintained by the U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics. By navigating the different career areas in the left column, or by typing in the search box, a student can find very accurate details on many many careers.
